NORTH AMERICAN CITIZENS, REJOYCE!

PomPom games is proud to present its latest slice of shoot-em-up mayhem to the US public. In typical, fashionably late PomPom style, we can announce the release date as… today! Thursday March 12th on Playstation3 via the Playstation Store.

Having already destroyed the moral of most European gamers, we can now turn our attentions to the US gaming community. We challenge you to humiliate your European brothers and their puny scores!

  4. When will it be released on PC?
I NEED this game :D it is sooo fucking great, but I don’t have money to buy ps 3 :(

    Thank you all round.

A PC version is in the works but no release date. We will let you know as soon as we have any news.

  6. This is a very good game. I had not heard of Astro Tripper till I saw it in the US Store and figured it was only $5 and tried it. Great game indeed.

I wish it had co-op but maybe that’s something you guys could put out (and maybe some more levels too) in a DLC pack for a small fee? (wink wink haha)

  7. Great little shooter for a great little price. Love the homage to Defender (I’m surely not imagining this, right?) without the bother of all that “defending” nonsense. Trophies are a wonderful challenge compared to the normal “beat a level, get a trophy” approach.

Are you planning to port this to 360? I’ve been enjoying ALL your other games (yes, bliss island too) on the 360 and buying a PS3 for this, tempting though it may be, is not a good plan money-wise.

  9. Thanks for the ego rubbing lads! ( … or ladies? )

There will be no 360 version of Astro and same can be said regards getting the Mutant Storm games onto PSN. The games are exclusives and are likely to stay that way till the end of the universe and beyond.
Besides, we’ve had enough of porting. We have new delights on the way!

( apart from porting onto PSP, but thats another conversation )

Bah, I guess I’ll have to pick up one of those blasted Paystation3′s or whatever you kids today call them.

Looking forward to any future releases anyway! Keep being awesome and develop games so I can eventually make music for them ( shameless self-promotion: http://soundscape.escariot.net/ )

Any ETA on PC versions? I lost my purchased copies of Mutant Storm and Space Tripper. Where can I buy the old versions?

    Thank you. :)

There is no ETA on PC version as yet. Its difficult to say as most of the work is optimization and hardware testing which could take a bit of time.

Will the upcoming PC releases still have Linux support?
